Abstract

    Yogyakarta City in June 2019 experienced inflation of 0.25 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the Food, Beverage, Cigarette and Tobacco group up 0.04 percent; Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuel group up 0.10 percent; Clothing group up 0.67 percent; Health group up 0.71 percent; Education, Recreation and Sports group up 0.03; transport, communication and financial services group up 1.11 percent, while the food ingredients group fell -0.24 percent.
  • Of the 82 cities that calculated the inflation rate, 76 CPI cities experienced inflation and 6 CPI cities experienced deflation, the highest inflation occurred in Manado City at 3.60 percent, followed by Kendari and Sibolga Cities at 2.55 percent and 2.25 percent respectively, while the lowest inflation occurred in Singaraja City at 0.02 percent, followed by Denpasar and Makassar which reached 0.04 percent and 0.05 percent respectively. The largest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan City which reached 0.41 percent and the smallest deflation occurred in Jayapura City at 0.08 percent.
  • The calendar inflation rate (June 2019 against December 2018) was 1.74 percent and the year on year inflation rate (June 2019 against June 2018) was 3.11 percent.
