Abstract

The number of foreign tourist visits or foreign tourists to the Special Region of Yogyakarta through the Adisutjipto entrance in August 2019 increased by 14.80 percent compared to the number of visits in July 2019, from 10,532 visits to 12,091 visits. Meanwhile, when compared to August 2018, the number of foreign tourist visits in August 2019 decreased by 10.22 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in August 2019 amounted to 59.00 percent, a decrease of 8.86 points compared to the previous month's TPK which was recorded at 67.86 percent. The TPK of non-star hotels was 29.76 percent, a decrease of 4.02 points compared to the TPK in July 2019.
The average length of stay of guests in star hotels in August 2019 reached 1.68 days and non-star hotels reached 1.25 days.
The number of passenger arrivals through Adisutjipto Airport and Yogyakarta International Airport in August 2019 was recorded at 339,809 people, while the number of passenger departures in August 2019 was 317,054 passengers.
