Abstract

Yogyakarta City in November 2019 experienced inflation of 0.31 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the foodstuff group by 0.86 percent; the processed food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.05 percent; the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group rose by 0.18 percent; the health group rose by 0.88 percent and the transportation, communication and financial services group rose by 0.23 percent. Meanwhile, the education, recreation and sports group was relatively stable and the clothing group fell by 0.01 percent.
  • Of the 82 cities whose inflation figures were calculated, 57 CPI cities experienced inflation and 25 CPI cities experienced deflation, the highest inflation occurred in Manado City at 3.30 percent followed by Merauke and Tanjung cities at 1.21 percent and 0.97 percent respectively, while the lowest inflation occurred in Malang City which reached 0.01 percent. The largest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan City which reached -1.06 percent followed by Sorong and Ambon City which reached -0.86 percent and -0.83 percent respectively, while the smallest deflation occurred in Batam and Denpasar City each at -0.01 percent.
  • The calendar inflation rate (November 2019 to December 2018) was 2.30 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2019 to November 2018) was 2.88 percent.
