Abstract

The NTP of Yogyakarta Special Region in February 2020 reached 103.19, an increase of 0.03 percent compared to the previous month's index of 103.16. The NTP of Food Crops Subsector was recorded at 105.07; the NTP of Horticulture Subsector was 107.30; the NTP of People's Plantation Crops Subsector was 118.05; the NTP of Livestock Subsector was 93.73; and the NTP of Fisheries Subsector was 94.77.
The increase in the combined NTP index this month was due to the increase in the food crop subsector by 0.31 percent, and the livestock subsector by 0.36 percent. While the horticulture subsector decreased by 0.32 percent, the smallholder plantation crops subsector by 2.18 percent, and the fisheries subsector also fell by 1.24 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Yogyakarta Special Region in February 2020 amounted to 103.71 or increased by 0.47 percent compared to January of 103.22.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in Yogyakarta Special Region in February 2020 generally reached 106.41 or experienced inflation of 0.66 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 105.72.
Of the 34 provinces whose NTP figures were calculated in February 2020, 10 provinces experienced an increase, and 23 other provinces experienced a decrease, and 1 province experienced no change. The highest increase in NTP occurred in West Sulawesi by 2.05 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Riau by 4.86 percent.
