Abstract

The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2020 reached US $ 21.4 million, down 8.55 percent compared to April 2020 exports. Cumulatively, the value of exports from January to May 2020 reached US $ 153.1 million, down 11.81 percent over the same period 2019.

The largest exports were sent to the United States, namely US $ 7.1 million. Followed by Germany with US $ 2.0 million and Japan with US $ 1.8 million. Until May 2020 the contribution of the three amounted to 55.13 percent.
Non-Knitted Garments (62); Furniture, Home Lighting (94); and Knitted Goods (61) are the three commodity groups with the highest export value in May 2020 each of US $ 5.6 million; US $ 4.2 million; and US $ 2.5 million.
The import value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2020 reached US $ 13.3 million, up 155.77 percent compared to April 2020. Cumulatively, the value of imports from January to May 2020 reached US $ 48.6 million, up 36.90 percent over the same period 2019.
The biggest supplier of imported goods during May 2020 is the United States with a value of US $ 6.4 million, Papua New Guinea US $ 3.3 million; and China US $ 1.7 million.
Locomotive and Railroad Equipment (86); Coffee, Tea, Spices (09); and Cotton (52) are the three commodity groups with the highest import values in May 2020
