Abstract

The NTP of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2021, reached 97.38, an increase of 0.66 percent compared to the previous month's index of 96.73. The NTP of the Food Crops Subsector was recorded at 94.70; Horticulture Subsector 112.09; People's Plantation Plant Subsector 115.68; Livestock Subsector 93.43; and Fisheries Subsector 94.36.
  • The increase in the combined FTT index this month was due to an increase in three sub-sectors, namely: food crops by 1.41 percent, smallholder plantations by 2.72, and fisheries by 0.23 percent, while the horticulture subsector fell by 0.62 percent, and the horticulture subsector decreased by 0.62 percent. farms also fell by 1.21 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2021 was 96.99, up 0.11 compared to April of 96.88.
  • The rural Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in May 2021 generally reached 108.00, experiencing a deflation of 0.45 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 108.49.
  • Of the 34 provinces in May 2021, there were 25 provinces experiencing an increase, and 9 other provinces experiencing a decline. The highest increase in FTT occurred in North Sulawesi by 2.00 percent, while the largest decrease in FTT occurred in Papua by 1.21 percent.
