Abstract

April 2022 exports reached US$56.4 million, down 7.99 percent compared to the previous month.
Imports in April 2022 were valued at US$11.8 million, down 14.49 percent.
The export value of D.I. Yogyakarta in April 2022 reached US$56.4 million, down 7.99 percent compared to March 2022. Compared to April 2021, the export value increased by 27.89 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value of D.I. Yogyakarta from January to April 2022 reached US$216.8 million, up 22.90 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
The largest April 2022 exports were to the United States at US$24.7 million, followed by Germany at US$4.3 million and Japan at US$3.4 million, with the contribution of the three reaching 57.45 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union and ASEAN amounted to US$18.3 million and US$1.0 million, respectively.
The largest decrease in exports in April 2022 against March 2022 occurred in furniture, home lighting amounting to US$1.3 million (15.48 percent). Meanwhile, the largest increase occurred in plastics and plastic goods by US$0.4 million (30.77 percent).
By sector, exports of agricultural products in April 2022 decreased by 60.00 percent compared to March 2022. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell by 7.57 percent. Compared to April 2021, exports of agricultural products fell 33.33 percent. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products increased by 28.31 percent.
According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of D.I. Yogyakarta in April 2022 were sent through Central Java with a value of US$ 36.7 million (65.07 percent), followed by DKI Jakarta US$ 18.4 million (32.62 percent) and East Java US$ 1.3 million (2.30 percent).
