Abstract

Exports in October 2022 reached US$39.4 million, down 11.66 percent compared to the previous month.

Imports in October 2022 were valued at US$10.6 million, down 33.75 percent.

The export value of D.I. Yogyakarta in October 2022 reached US$39.4 million, down 11.66 percent compared to September 2022. Compared to October 2021, the export value decreased by 19.10 percent.

Cumulatively, the export value of D.I. Yogyakarta from January to October 2022 reached US$485.7 million, an increase of 10.87 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

The largest October 2022 exports were to the United States at US$15.2 million, followed by Japan at US$3.5 and Germany at US$3.2 million. The contribution of the three reached 55.58 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union amounted to US$9.8 million and ASEAN amounted to US$1.4 million.

The largest decline in exports in October 2022 against September 2022 occurred in non-knitted apparel amounting to US$4.3 million (25.90 percent). The second decrease was furniture, home lighting amounting to US$0.7 million (13.73 percent) and the third was leather goods US$0.5 million (9.43 percent).

By sector, exports of agricultural products in October 2022 increased by 200.00 percent compared to September 2022. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 12.13 percent. Compared to October 2021, exports of agricultural products decreased by 25.00 percent. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 19.05 percent.

According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of D.I. Yogyakarta in October 2022 were sent through Central Java with a value of US$25.6 million (64.97 percent), followed by DKI Jakarta US$12.1 million (30.71 percent), East Java US$1.3 million (3.30 percent), and D.I. Yogyakarta US$0.4 million (1.02 percent).
