Abstract

DIY Economy in 2022 grows 5.15 Percent (C-to-C)
  • DIY economy in the fourth quarter of 2022 grew 5.53 percent (Y-on-Y)
  • DIY economy in the fourth quarter of 2022 grew 3.00 percent (Q-to-Q)
  • The economy of the Special Region of Yogyakarta based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the fourth quarter of 2022 reached Rp43.28 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp28.99 trillion.
  • The DIY economy during 2022 grew by 5.15 percent (c-to-c). All business fields grew positively, and the highest was achieved by the transportation and warehousing business field by 18.26 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the foreign export component of 8.33 percent.
  • The DIY economy in the fourth quarter of 2022 against the fourth quarter of 2021 grew by 5.53 percent (y-on-y). The highest growth was achieved by the provision of accommodation and eating and drinking at 15.85 percent, followed by construction at 14.60 percent, and financial services at 13.40 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the gross fixed capital formation component of 7.03 percent.
  • Compared to the third quarter of 2022, the DIY economy grew by 3.00 percent (q-to-q). The highest-growing business field was other services, followed by the provision of accommodation and eating and drinking as well as transportation and warehousing. From the expenditure side, it was mainly driven by the growth of government consumption, and gross fixed capital formation.
  • The economic structure of DIY in 2022 is dominated by the manufacturing industry, information and communication, agriculture, construction, and provision of accommodation and eating and drinking with a contribution of 52.01 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, household consumption expenditure still dominates with a contribution of 61.63 percent, followed by gross fixed capital formation of 32.57 percent, and government consumption expenditure of 14.60 percent.
