Abstract

Exports in February 2023 reached US$40.1 million, up 8.97 percent compared to the previous month.
  • Imports in February 2023 were valued at US$9.9 million, down 25.56 percent.
  • The export value of Yogyakarta Special Region in February 2023 reached US$40.1 million, an increase of 8.97 percent compared to January 2023. Compared to February 2022, the export value decreased by 15.22 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta from January to February 2023 reached US$99.1 million or decreased by 22.40 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
  • The largest export in February 2023 was to the United States at US$13.6 million, followed by Germany at US$5.2 and Japan at US$4.2 million. The contribution of the three reached 57.36 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union amounted to US$13.1 million and ASEAN amounted to US$0.7 million.
  • The largest increase in exports in February 2023 against January 2023 occurred in non-knitted apparel at US$2.8 million. The second largest increase was furniture, home lighting at US$0.8 million and the third was knitted goods at US$0.4 million.
  • By sector, exports of agricultural products in February 2023 showed the same value compared to January 2023. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products increased by 9.02 percent. Compared to February 2022, exports of agricultural products showed the same value. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell by 15.29 percent.
  • According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in February 2023 were sent through Central Java by 71.32 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta 26.68 percent, East Java 1.00 percent, and D.I. Yogyakarta 1.00 percent.
