The producer price of grain at the farm level in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in June 2023 for the quality of Milled Dry Grain (MDG) amounted to IDR 5,718.18, down 0.24 percent compared to the previous month of IDR 5,732.14. The quality of harvested dry grain (GKP) increased by 0.10 percent, from IDR 4,862.96, to IDR 4,867.74 in June 2023. Meanwhile, the price for non-quality grain in June was IDR 4,650.
The highest farm-gate price for GKG quality grain at IDR 6,200 per kg with the Ciherang variety is in Kulon Progo District. The highest price at the farmer level for GKP quality grain was IDR 5,200 per kg with the Ciherang variety in Kulon Progo District. The lowest farm-gate price of unhusked rice was IDR 4,600 per kg for GKP quality unhusked rice with IR-64 and Situ Bagendit varieties in Bantul Regency.During June 2023, the average price of GKP at the farm level was IDR 4,867.74 per kg, an increase of 0.10 percent, and at the milling level IDR 4,930.65 per kg, an increase of 0.36 percent compared to the price of the same quality grain in the previous month. The average price of GKG at the farm level was IDR 5,718.18 per kg, down 0.24 percent, and at the milling level IDR 5,806.82 per kg, down 0.19 percent. Meanwhile, the average price of out-of-quality grain at the farm level is IDR 4,650.00 per kg, and at the milling level IDR 4,700.00 per kg. There was no percentage change in the price of out-of-quality grain because there was no sample in the previous month.Based on the varieties of grain produced and sold by farmers in June 2023, the IR-64 variety accounted for 36.36 percent, Inpari for 27.27 percent, Ciherang for 25.45 percent, Mekongga for 7.27 percent, and other varieties for 3.65 percent.Based on the National Food Agency Regulation No. 6 of 2023 on the Government Purchasing Price (HPP), out of 55 observations in June 2023 conducted in 3 districts, the price of grain sold by farmers was 75.47 percent below the HPP.
