Abstract

In January 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Gunungkidul Regency of 2.42 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.8.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.48 percent; the personal care and other services group by 1.80 percent; the health group by 1.04 percent; the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.89 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 0.49 percent; the education group by 0.07 percent; and the clothing and footwear group by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.41 percent; the transportation group by 0.29 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.1 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.03 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation rate of Gunungkidul Regency in January 2024 were each 0.08 percent.
