The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of D.I. Yogyakarta in March 2024 was 107.35, down 2.98 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 110.66.
The producer price of paddy at the farmer level in D.I. Yogyakarta in March 2024 for the quality of Dry Milled Paddy (GKG) was IDR 7,700.00 per kg, down 8.59 percent compared to the previous month of IDR 8,423.81 per kg. The quality of Dry Harvested Paddy (GKP) fell by 9.29 percent, from IDR 7,268.97 per kg to 6,593.55 per kg in March 2024.
The NTP of D.I. Yogyakarta in March 2024 reached 107.35, down 2.98 percent compared to the previous month of 110.66. The Farmer Exchange Rate for the food crop subsector was 108.29; horticulture subsector 123.39; smallholder plantation subsector 106.72; livestock subsector 101.02; and fisheries subsector 88.98.
The decrease in the combined NTP index this month was influenced by the decline in three subsectors, namely: food crops by 5.46 percent, horticulture by 3.97 percent, and fisheries by 0.36 percent. Meanwhile, two subsectors increased, namely smallholder plantation crops by 1.61 percent and livestock by 2.83 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of D.I. Yogyakarta in March 2024 was recorded at 111.75, down 1.91 percent compared to the previous month of 113.93.
The rural Consumer Price Index (CPI) in D.I. Yogyakarta in March 2024 generally reached 127.90, experiencing inflation of 1.85 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 125.58.
Of the 38 provinces in March 2024, the NTP in 22 provinces increased while 16 provinces decreased. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Riau at 3.98 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Central Java at 4.85 percent.
The highest price of grain at the farmer level for GKG quality grain worth IDR 8,500.00 per kg with the Cianjur variety was in Sleman Regency. The highest price at the farmer level for GKP quality grain worth IDR 7,000.00 per kg with the Inpari variety was in Bantul Regency. The lowest price of grain at the farmer level worth IDR 6,000.00 per kg for GKP quality grain with the Ciherang variety was in Kulon Progo Regency.
During March 2024, the average GKG price at the farmer level was IDR 7,700.00 per kg, down 8.59 percent, and at the milling level IDR 7,790.00 per kg, down 8.53 percent. The average price of GKP at the farmer level was IDR 6,593.55 per kg, down 9.29 percent, and at the milling level IDR 6,647.58 per kg, down 9.22 percent compared to the price of the same quality of grain in the previous month. The average price of non-quality grain in this period was absent because there was no non-quality grain in all observation units.
Grain based on varieties produced and sold by farmers in March 2024, Inpari variety was 41.38 percent, IR-64 was 22.99 percent, Ciherang was 9.20 percent, Situ Bagendit and Suppadi were each 5.75 percent, Mekongga was 4.60 percent, Mapan was 3.45 percent, Pepe was 2.30 percent, Cianjur, Cimalaya, Memberamo, and Sunggal were each 1.15 percent.
