Development of the Gunungkidul Regency Consumer Price Index in June 2024

Abstract

In June 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Gunungkidul Regency of 2.20 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.01.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.52 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.33 percent; the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.69 percent; the health group by 2.73 percent; the transportation group by 0.02 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 1.36 percent; the education group by 0.07 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 0.38 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 4.47 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.07 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.16 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in Gunungkidul Regency in June 2024 was 0.28 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Gunungkidul Regency in June 2024 was 0.12 percent.
