In accordance with Law Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics, the Central AgencyStatistics (BPS) has the authority to carry out statistical activities throughcensus, survey, compilation of administrative products, and other means, as well as announcingthe results are regular or occasional and open to the public eithergovernment agencies, private institutions, non-governmental organizations or individuals.The duties of BPS in general are to carry out government duties atfield of statistical activities in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulationsapplies. Meanwhile, the vision of BPS is "Quality Statistical Data Provider forIndonesia Maju "(" Provider of Qualified Statistical Data for Advanced Indonesia ") canachieved by implementing the general BPS mission, namely:1. Providing quality statistics with national and international standards;2. Fostering K / L / D / I through a sustainable National Statistics System;3. Realizing excellent service in the field of statistics for the realization of the SystemNational Statistics;4.
