Abstract

The NTP of DI Yogyakarta in December 2018 reached 101.26, a decrease of 0.05 percent compared to the previous month's index of 101.31. The NTP of Food Crops Subsector was recorded at 111.03; the NTP of Horticulture Subsector was 98.36; the NTP of Smallholder Plantation Crops Subsector was 104.41; the NTP of Livestock Subsector was 91.63; and the NTP of Fisheries Subsector was 102.99.

The decline in the combined NTP index this month was caused by a decrease in the horticulture subsector by 1.53 percent, the smallholder plantation crops subsector by 0.28 percent, and the fisheries subsector by 0.36 percent. Meanwhile, the food crop subsector increased by 1.16 percent, and the livestock subsector also increased by 0.04 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of DI Yogyakarta in December 2018 amounted to 110.27 or increased by 0.15 percent compared to November of 110.11.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in DI Yogyakarta in December 2018 generally reached 136.91 or experienced inflation of 0.61 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 136.08.

Of the 33 provinces whose NTP figures were calculated in December 2018, 11 provinces experienced an increase, and 22 other provinces experienced a decrease. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Maluku by 0.81 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in West Sulawesi by 2.34 percent.
