Abstract

The NTP of DI Yogyakarta in January 2019 reached 102.60, an increase of 1.32 percent compared to the previous month's index of 101.26. NTP of Food Crops Subsector was recorded at 112.05; NTP of Horticulture Subsector at 99.68; NTP of Smallholder Plantation Crops Subsector at 109.56; NTP of Livestock Subsector at 91.15; and NTP of Fisheries Subsector at 103.00.

The increase in the combined NTP index this month was due to an increase in the food crop subsector by 0.92 percent, the horticulture subsector by 1.34 percent, the smallholder plantation crop subsector by 4.93 percent, and the fisheries subsector by 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the livestock subsector decreased by 0.53 percent. The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Businesses (NTUP) in the DI Yogyakarta in January 2019 amounted to 111.09 or increased by 0.74 percent compared to December at 110.27.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in DI Yogyakarta in January 2018 generally reached 136.94 or experienced inflation of 0.02 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 136.91.

Of the 33 provinces that NTP was calculated in January 2019, 15 provinces experienced an increase, and 18 other provinces experienced a decrease. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Riau by 2.59 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Papua by 1.58 percent.
