Abstract

Yogyakarta City in December 2018 experienced inflation of 0.57 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the foodstuff group up 1.28 percent; processed food group up 0.27 percent; housing group up 0.38 percent; clothing group up 0.25 percent; health group up 0.22 percent; education group up 0.10 percent; and transport, communication and financial services group up 0.87 percent.

Of the 82 cities that calculated the inflation rate, 80 CPI cities experienced inflation and 2 CPI cities experienced deflation, the highest inflation occurred in Kupang City at 2.09 percent followed by Pangkal Pinang City at 1.88 percent, while the lowest inflation occurred in Banda Aceh City at 0.02 percent, followed by Sibolga City at 0.10 percent. Deflation occurred in Sorong and Kendari Cities by 0.15 percent, and 0.09 percent, respectively.

Calendar 2018 inflation rate and ear on year inflation rate (December 2018 against December 2017) are the same at 2.66 percent.
