Abstract

D.I. Yogyakarta's exports during December 2018 showed an increase of 10.34 percent compared to the previous month. Compared to a year ago, cumulative January - December 2018, the value of exports increased by 8.73 percent. More than half of the export value was sent to the United States, Germany, and Japan.

Specifically for the ASEAN region, exports to Singapore were the largest export value in December 2018 at 34.38 percent. Meanwhile, the largest export development was Viet Nam with a percentage of 28.23 percent.

Non-Knitted Apparel; Furniture, Home Lighting; and Knitted Goods were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in December 2018 at 40.49 percent; 11.93 percent; and 11.56 percent, respectively.

The largest export commodity development from November 2018 to December 2018 was Paper/Carton commodities which increased by 59.77 percent. The biggest development of Cumm. Y on Y is the Headgear commodity with an increase of 66.80 percent.

Imports of D.I. Yogyakarta in December 2018 amounted to US $ 1.01 million, up 18.61 percent compared to the previous month. Most of the imported commodities came from Papua New Guinea which amounted to 39.38 percent.

The largest import commodities are Coffee, Tea, Spices which amounted to 39.38 percent of the total import value.
