Export Import Development of D.I. Yogyakarta, March 2019

D.I. Yogyakarta's exports during March 2019 amounted to US$ 32.9 million, an increase of 2.52 percent compared to the previous month. Compared to January - March 2018 (cumm. year on year), the export value decreased by 8.53 percent. The United States, Germany, and Japan became the largest market share reaching 60.45 percent.

Specifically for the ASEAN region, exports to Singapore were the largest export value in March 2019 at 29.95 percent. While the largest export growth was Singapore by 18.89 percent.

Non-Knitted Apparel; Furniture, Home Lighting; and Leather Goods were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in March 2019 at 38.87 percent; 12.83 percent; and 8.11 percent, respectively.

The largest development of export commodities from February 2019 to March 2019 was the Essential Oils, Cosmetic Fragrances commodity which increased by 76.63 percent. The biggest development of Cumm. Y on Y was the Plastic and Plastic Goods commodity with an increase of 17.22 percent. 

D.I. Yogyakarta imports in March 2019 amounted to US $ 6.3 million, up 24.58 percent compared to the previous month. Compared to January - March 2018 (cumm. y o y), the import value increased by 2.15 percent. Hong Kong was the largest supplier country at 30.65 percent.

The largest import commodity in March 2019 was Artificial Filament which amounted to 27.01 percent of the total import value.
