Abstract

The export value of D.I. Yogyakarta in April 2019 reached US$33.1 million, an increase of 0.61 percent compared to the previous month. Cumulatively, the export value from January to April 2019 reached US$134.5 million or decreased by 8.88 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
During the January - April 2019 period, the United States, Germany, and Japan became the largest market share reaching 58.30 percent.
Non-knitted Apparel; Furniture, Home Lighting; and Knitted Goods were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in April 2019 at US$12.1 million; US$4.9 million; and US$3.2 million, respectively.
The largest increase in exports in April 2019 against March 2019 occurred in Knitted Goods amounting to US$0.7 million (28.00 percent). While the largest decrease occurred in Essential Oils, Perfumed Cosmetics by US$0.3 million (27.27 percent).
The import value of D.I. Yogyakarta in April 2019 reached US$9.8 million, an increase of 55.56 percent compared to the previous month. Cumulatively, the import value from January to April 2019 reached US$30.1 million, an increase of 6.36 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
During the January - April 2019 period, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan became the largest supplier countries of imports reaching 75.42 percent.
Artificial Filament; Cotton; and Specially Woven Fabrics were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in April 2019.
