Abstract

The NTP of D.I. Yogyakarta in August 2019 reached 106.93, an increase of 1.22 percent compared to the previous month's index of 105.64. The NTP of Food Crops Subsector was recorded at 109.47; NTP of Horticulture Subsector 107.58; NTP of Smallholder Plantation Crops Subsector 126.55; NTP of Livestock Subsector 92.02; and NTP of Fisheries Subsector 104.09.
The increase in the combined NTP index this month was due to the increase in the food crop subsector by 1.39 percent, the horticulture subsector by 2.59 percent, and smallholder plantation crops by 2.64 percent. While the livestock subsector experienced a decrease of 1.32 percent and the fisheries subsector decreased by 0.04 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of D.I. Yogyakarta in August 2019 amounted to 117.50 percent or increased by 1.08 percent compared to July at 116.25.
From 33 provinces whose NTP figures were calculated in August 2019, 20 provinces experienced an increase, and 13 other provinces experienced a decrease. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Banten by 1.29 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Jambi by 1.53 percent.
The rural Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the D.I. Yogyakarta in August 2019 generally reached 141.83 or experienced deflation of 0.02 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 141.86.
