Abstract

Yogyakarta in August 2020 experienced deflation of 0.04 percent due to a 1.01 percent drop in the consumer price index of food, beverage and tobacco groups; information, communication and financial services groups by 0.10 percent; and education groups by 0.06 percent. The inflationary group was 0.02 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 0.01 percent; household routine equipment, equipment and maintenance group of 0.02 percent; health group by 0.15 percent; transportation group by 0.25 percent; recreation, sports and cultural groups by 0.05 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group of 0.12 percent; and other personal care and services groups by 2.70 percent.

90 cities calculated inflation figures, 37 CPI cities experienced inflation and 53 CPI cities experienced deflation.

Calendar Inflation Rate (August 2020 to December 2019) was 0.68 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (August 2020 to August 2019) was 1.64 percent.
