Export and Import Development of D.I. Yogyakarta in January 2021

Abstract

The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in January 2021 reached US$39.0 million or decreased by 14.29 percent compared to exports in December 2020. Conversely, this value increased by 1.04 percent compared to January 2020 which reached US$38.6 million.
The largest exports in January 2021 were sent to the United States, namely US$ 12.3 million. Followed by Japan and Germany with US$4.5 million each. During January 2021, the contribution of the three countries reached 54.62 percent.
Non-knitted Apparel (62); Furniture, Home Lighting (94); and Knitted Goods (61) were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in January 2021. They amounted to US$12.8 million, US$6.3 million, and US$3.5 million, respectively.
The import value of Yogyakarta Special Region in January 2021 reached US$15.3 million or increased by 25.41 percent compared to December 2020. Likewise, the import value increased by 68.13 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
The largest supplier of imported goods in January 2021 was China with a value of US$4.8 million. Then followed by the United States US$4.6 million; and Hong Kong US$2.2 million.
Locomotives and Railway Equipment (86); Artificial Filaments (54); and Cotton Wadding, Rope (56) were the top three import commodity groups in January 2021 at US$4.6 million; US$2.1 million; and US$1.4 million respectively.
