Abstract


  • The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in November 2021 reached US$55.7 million, an increase of 14.37 percent compared to exports in October 2021. Compared to November 2020, the export value increased by 63.34 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta from January to November 2021 reached US$492.9 million, an increase of 39.55 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
  • The largest November 2021 exports were to the United States at US$28.8 million, followed by Australia at US$3.3 million and Japan at US$2.4 million, with the contribution of the three reaching 61.94 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union and ASEAN amounted to US$12.4 million and US$1.0 million respectively.
  • The largest increase in exports in November 2021 against October 2021 occurred in non-knitted apparel amounting to US$3.2 million (20.25 percent). Meanwhile, the largest decrease occurred in paper / cardboard amounting to US$1.3 million (72.22 percent).
  • By sector, exports of processing industry products from January to November 2021 increased by 39.81 percent compared to the same period in 2020. Meanwhile, exports of agricultural products increased by 14.29 percent.
  • According to the shipping province, the largest exports of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in November 2021 were sent through Central Java with a value of US$33.1 million (59.43 percent), followed by DKI Jakarta US$21.3 million (38.24 percent) and East Java US$1.3 million (2.33 percent).
  • The import value of Yogyakarta Special Region in November 2021 reached US$15.0 million, up 27.12 percent compared to October 2021 or down 14.77 percent compared to November 2020. Cumulatively, the import value from January to November 2021 reached US$139.5 million, up 24.22 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
  • The three largest supplier countries of imported goods in November 2021 were Hong Kong US$5.3 million. Then followed by China with US$4.8 million and Taiwan with US$1.4 million. The three largest supplier countries of imported goods during January-November 2021 were China US$41.1 million (29.46 percent), Hong Kong US$32.6 million (23.37 percent), and the United States US$14.0 million (10.04 percent).
  • The top three import commodity groups in November 2021 were artificial filaments amounting to US$3.7 million. Special woven fabrics US$2.1 million and coated woven fabrics US$1.6 million. The largest increase in imports of goods groups in November 2021 compared to October 2021 was special woven fabrics US$1.1 million (110.00 percent). Meanwhile, the largest decrease was electrical machinery / equipment US$0.5 million (62.50 percent).
  • According to the class of use of goods, the value of imports from January to November 2021 against the same period the previous year decreased in consumer goods by 30.94 percent. Meanwhile, the increase occurred in raw / auxiliary materials 33.78 percent and capital goods 52.94 percent.
  • The trade balance of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in November 2021 experienced a surplus of US$40.7 million. Likewise, the cumulative January-November 2021 surplus is US$353.3 million.
