Abstract

Exports in October 2023 reached US$39.1 million, up 5.39 percent compared to the previous month.
Imports in October 2023 were valued at US$11.4 million, up 3.64 percent compared to the previous month.
The export value of Yogyakarta Special Region in October 2023 reached US$39.1 million, an increase of 5.39 percent compared to September 2023. Compared to October 2022, the export value decreased by 1.01 percent.
Cumulatively, the export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta from January to October 2023 reached US$386.3 million, down 20.45 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
The largest export in October 2023 was to the United States at US$16.2 million, followed by Germany and Australia at US$2.7 million each. The contribution of the three reached 55.24 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union amounted to US$7.7 million and ASEAN amounted to US$1.1 million.
The largest increase in exports in October 2023 against September 2023 occurred in non-knitted apparel amounting to US$0.9 million. Meanwhile, the largest decrease was paper/cardboard at US$1.0 million.
By sector, exports of agricultural products in October 2023 increased by 50.00 percent compared to September 2023. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products increased by 5.15 percent. Compared to October 2022, exports of agricultural products had the same value. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell by 1.02 percent.
According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in October 2023 were sent through Central Java by 74.43 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta 23.27 percent, D.I. Yogyakarta 1.53 percent, and East Java 0.77 percent.
