Abstract

Yogyakarta City in January 2022 experienced inflation of 0.59 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.16 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.34 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.97 percent; the group of supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance by 1.03 percent; the health group by 0.20 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.05 percent; the education group by 0.03 percent; the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.08 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 1.15 percent. Groups that experienced deflation were the transportation group by 0.03 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.10 percent.

90 cities calculated inflation figures, 85 CPI cities experienced inflation and 5 CPI cities experienced deflation.

The calendar inflation rate (January 2022 against December 2021) was 0.59 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (January 2022 against January 2021) was 2.34 percent.
