Abstract

Yogyakarta City in February 2022 experienced inflation of 0.05 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the clothing and footwear group by 0.29 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.02 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.37 percent; health group by 0.19 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.02 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.06 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.97 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.47 percent. Groups that experienced deflation were the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.18 percent and the transportation group by 0.35 percent, while the education group was relatively stable.

90 cities calculated inflation figures, 37 CPI cities experienced inflation and 53 CPI cities experienced deflation.
The calendar inflation rate (February 2022 against December 2021) was 0.64 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (February 2022 against February 2021) was 2.25 percent.
