Abstract

Exports in January 2023 reached US$36.8 million, down 32.85 percent compared to the previous month.
  • Imports in January 2023 were valued at US$13.3 million, up 19.82 percent.
  • The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in January 2023 reached US$36.8 million, down 32.85 percent compared to December 2022 or down 32.85 percent compared to December 2022. Compared to January 2022, the export value decreased by 28.96 percent.
  • The largest export in January 2023 was to the United States with US$14.1 million, followed by Japan with US$3.6 and Germany with US$3.6 million. The contribution of the three reached 57.88 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union amounted to US$10.2 million and ASEAN amounted to US$0.8 million.
  • The largest decline in exports in January 2023 against December 2022 occurred in non-knitted apparel at US$11.5 million. The second largest decline was knitted goods at US$3.0 million and the third was furniture, home lighting at US$0.8 million.
  • By sector, exports of agricultural products in January 2023 showed a decline of 60.00 percent compared to December 2022. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 32.60 percent. Compared to January 2022, exports of agricultural products fell 33.33 percent. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 28.93 percent.
  • According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in January 2023 were sent through Central Java by 70.11 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta 27.45 percent, East Java 1.63 percent, and D.I. Yogyakarta 0.82 percent.
