Abstract

March 2023 exports reached US$41.6 million, up 3.74 percent compared to the previous month.

Imports in March 2023 were valued at US$13.3 million, up 34.34 percent.

The export value of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in March 2023 reached US$41.6 million, an increase of 3.74 percent compared to February 2023. Compared to March 2022, the export value decreased by 32.14 percent.

Cumulatively, the export value of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta from January to March 2023 reached US$118.5 million, down 26.12 percent compared to the same period in 2022.

The largest export in March 2023 was to the United States at US$15.9 million, followed by Germany and Japan at US$3.1 million each. The contribution of the three reached 53.13 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union amounted to US$12.2 million and ASEAN amounted to US$1.1 million.

The largest increase in exports in March 2023 against February 2023 occurred in non-knitted apparel amounting to US$1.6 million. Meanwhile, the largest decline was in knitted goods amounting to US$0.8 million.

By sector, exports of agricultural products in March 2023 increased by 150.00 percent compared to February 2023. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products increased by 3.01 percent. Compared to March 2022, exports of agricultural products showed the same value. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 32.40 percent.

According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in March 2023 were sent through Central Java by 70.91 percent, followed by DKI Jakarta 27.40 percent, East Java 0.96 percent, and D.I. Yogyakarta 0.72 percent.
