Abstract

The Farmer Term of Trade (NTP) in May 2023 amounted to 102.61, down 0.29 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 102.90.

The NTP of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in May 2023, reached 102.61 down 0.29 percent compared to the previous month of 102.90. The NTP of food crops subsector was 100.28; horticulture subsector 125.29; smallholder plantation crops subsector 103.97; livestock subsector 100.55; and fisheries subsector 91.21.

The increase in the combined NTP index this month was influenced by the increase in two subsectors, namely: smallholder plantation crops by 1.15 percent, and livestock 3.17 percent. While the other three subsectors fell, namely: food crops by 1.48 percent, horticulture by 1.88 percent, and fisheries by 0.76 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Terms of Trade (NTUP) of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in May 2023 was recorded at 105.07, up 0.40 percent compared to the previous month of 104.66.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in May 2023 generally reached 121.53, an inflation of 1.05 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 120.27.

Of the 34 provinces in May 2023, 14 provinces increased, and 20 provinces decreased. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Lampung by 1.61 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Bangka Belitung Islands by 5.20 percent.
