Abstract

September 2023, Yogyakarta's year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation was 3.30 percent. Rice contributed the largest share of 0.56 percent.

In September 2023 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 3.30 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 118.09.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 5.97 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.58 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.02 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.39 percent; health group by 5.42 percent; transportation group by 1.50 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.75 percent; education group by 3.97 percent; food and beverage supply/restaurant group by 4.54 percent; and personal care and other services group by 4.00 percent. While the group that experienced a decrease in the index was the information, communication, and financial services group by -0.19 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in September 2023 was 0.29 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in September 2023 was 2.18 percent.
