Abstract

December 2023, Yogyakarta's year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation was 3.17 percent. Food, beverages, and tobacco contributed the most, at 1.72 percent.
In December 2023 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 3.17 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 119.23.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 7.58 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.33 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.14 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.99 percent; health group by 4.40 percent; transportation group by 0.91 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.37 percent; education group by 3.06 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 3.92 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.85 percent. While the group that experienced a decrease in the index was the information, communication, and financial services group by -0.06 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in December 2023 was 0.35 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate in December 2023 was 3.17 percent.
