Abstract

Percentage of Poor Population in March 2024 dropped to 10.83 percent
The percentage of poor population in March 2024 was 10.83 percent, down 0.21 percentage points compared to March 2023, and down 0.66 percentage points compared to September 2022.
The number of poor people in March 2024 was 445.55 thousand people and down 2.9 thousand people compared to March 2023. When compared to September 2022, the number of poor people in March 2024 fell by 18.1 thousand people.
The percentage of urban poor people in March 2024 was 10.29 percent and increased by 0.02 percentage points compared to March 2023. The rural poor people in March 2024 were 12.49 percent and decreased by 0.87 percentage points compared to March 2023.
The number of urban poor people in March 2024 was 319.40 thousand people, an increase of 6.6 thousand people compared to March 2023. Meanwhile, the number of rural poor people in March 2024 was 126.15 thousand people or decreased by 9.5 thousand people compared to March 2023.
The Poverty Line in March 2024 was recorded at IDR602,437.00/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR437,891.00 (72.69 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR164,546.00 (27.31 percent).
In March 2024, on average, poor households in D.I. Yogyakarta had 4.50 household members. When viewed by household, the household Poverty Line reaches IDR 2,710,967.00/household/month.
