Abstract

The poverty line in the DI Yogyakarta in September 2018 amounted to Rp 414,899 per capita per month. In the last semester, the poverty line increased by 1.26 percent from the March 2018 figure of Rp 409,744 per capita per month.

Food commodities still dominate the formation of the Poverty Line compared to non-food commodities. In March 2018, the Food Poverty Line was recorded at IDR 296,077 per capita per month and its contribution to the Poverty Line was 71.36 percent. At the same time, the non-food poverty line amounted to Rp 118,822 per capita per month and contributed 28.62 percent to the poverty line.

The number of poor people in September 2018 in D.I. Yogyakarta was 450.25 thousand people or 11.81 percent of the total population. Meanwhile, the poor population in March 2018 was 460.10 thousand people or 12.13 percent of the population of D.I. Yogyakarta.

The Poverty Depth Index (P1) in September 2018 showed an improvement compared to March 2018. Likewise, the Poverty Severity Index (P2) indicates the increasingly homogenous expenditure of the poor.
