Abstract

D.I. Yogyakarta's exports during January 2019 amounted to US$ 36.4 million, down by 3.46 percent compared to the previous month. Compared to January 2018 (year on year), the export value decreased by 6.08 percent. The United States, Germany, and Japan became the largest market share reaching 55.75 percent.
Specifically for the ASEAN region, exports to Singapore were the largest export value in January 2019 at 51.16 percent. While the largest export growth was Malaysia at 210.57 percent.
Non-Knitted Apparel; Furniture, Home Lighting; and Knitted Goods were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in January 2019 at 40.10 percent; 12.19 percent; and 9.69 percent, respectively.
The largest development of export commodities from December 2018 to January 2019 was the Essential Oil, Cosmetic Fragrances commodity which increased by 231.94 percent. The largest Y on Y development was the commodity Straw/Woven Materials with an increase of 75.28 percent.
Imports of D.I. Yogyakarta in January 2019 amounted to US $ 8.9 million down 23.91 percent compared to the previous month. Compared to January 2018 (yoy), the import value increased by 26.31 percent. Hong Kong was the largest supplier country at 41.09 percent.
The largest import commodity was Artificial Filament, which amounted to 23.83 percent of the total import value.
