Abstract

The NTP of Yogyakarta Special Region in February 2019 reached 102.36, a decrease of 0.23 percent compared to the previous month's index of 102.60. The NTP of Food Crops Subsector was recorded at 109.13; the NTP of Horticulture Subsector was 100.18; the NTP of People's Plantation Crops Subsector was 111.86; the NTP of Livestock Subsector was 91.43; and the NTP of Fisheries Subsector was 103.21.

The decline in the combined NTP index this month was caused by a decrease in the food crop subsector by 2.60 percent, while other subsectors experienced an increase, namely: horticulture subsector by 0.50 percent, smallholder plantation crop subsector by 2.10 percent, livestock subsector by 0.31, and fisheries subsector by 0.20 percent. The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Enterprises (NTUP) of Yogyakarta Special Region in February 2019 amounted to 110.88 or decreased by 0.18 percent compared to January at 111.09.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in Yogyakarta Special Region in February 2019 generally reached 137.20 or experienced inflation of 0.19 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 136.94.
From 33 provinces whose NTP figures were calculated in February 2019, 15 provinces experienced an increase, and 18 other provinces experienced a decrease. The highest increase in NTP occurred in Riau by 1.58 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Central Sulawesi by 1.47 percent.
