Abstract

The NTP of Yogyakarta Special Region in April 2019 reached 102.46, a decrease of 0.66 percent compared to the previous month's index of 103.15. The NTP of Food Crops Subsector was recorded at 106.35; NTP of Horticulture Subsector at 101.36; NTP of People's Plantation Crops Subsector at 116.52; NTP of Livestock Subsector at 90.83; and NTP of Fisheries Subsector at 102.38.
  • The decline in the combined NTP index this month was caused by a decrease in the food crop subsector by 2.01 percent, the livestock subsector by 0.67 percent, and the fisheries subsector by 0.85 percent. While the horticulture subsector increased by 0.50 percent, and the smallholder plantation crops subsector also increased by 0.02 percent. The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Yogyakarta Special Region in April 2019 amounted to 112.65 or increased by 0.33 percent compared to March at 112.28.
  • The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for rural areas in Yogyakarta Special Region in April 2019 generally reached 140.65 or experienced inflation of 1.52 percent compared to the CPI in the previous month which was recorded at 138.54.
  • Of the 33 provinces whose NTP figures were calculated in April 2019, 11 provinces experienced an increase, and 22 other provinces experienced a decrease. The highest increase in NTP occurred in West Sulawesi by 1.39 percent, while the largest decrease in NTP occurred in Gorontalo by 1.60 percent.
