Abstract

The export value of D.I. Yogyakarta in June 2019 reached US$22.1 million, down 42.89 percent compared to the previous month. Cumulatively, the export value from January to June 2019 reached US$195.3 million or decreased by 7.00 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
During the January - June 2019 period, the United States, Germany, and Japan became the largest market share reaching 57.65 percent.
Non-knitted Apparel; Leather Goods; and Furniture, Home Lighting were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in June 2019 at US$9.2 million; US$2.5 million; and US$2.2 million, respectively.
The largest decrease in exports in June 2019 against May 2019 occurred in Furniture, Home Lighting amounting to US$3.3 million (60.00 percent).
The import value of D.I. Yogyakarta in June 2019 reached US$4.6 million, down 14.81 percent compared to the previous month. Cumulatively, the import value from January to June 2019 reached US$40.1 million, down 12.64 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
During the January - June 2019 period, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan became the largest supplier countries of imports reaching 75.07 percent.
Artificial Filament; Cotton; and Specially Woven Fabrics were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in the January - June 2019 period.
