Abstract

The export value of D.I. Yogyakarta in October 2019 reached US$37.8 million, up 19.62 percent compared to the previous month. Cumulatively, the export value from January to October 2019 reached US$333.8 million or decreased by 5.39 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
During the January-October 2019 period, the United States, Germany, and Japan became the largest export market share reaching 57.37 percent.
Non-knitted Apparel (62); Furniture, Home Lighting (94); and Knitted Goods (61) were the three commodity groups with the highest export value in October 2019 at US$10.9 million; US$6.1 million; and US$4.6 million, respectively.
The largest increase in exports in October 2019 against September 2019 occurred in Essential Oils, Perfumed Cosmetics (33) by 55.56 percent.
The import value of D.I. Yogyakarta in October 2019 reached US$8.7 million, up 11.54 percent compared to the previous month. Cumulatively, the import value from January to October 2019 reached US$74.6 million or decreased by 8.47 percent compared to the same period in 2018.
During the January-October 2019 period, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan were the largest supplier countries of imports reaching 70.77 percent.
Artificial Filament (54); Cotton (52); and Specially Woven Fabric (58) were the three commodity groups with the highest import value in the January-October 2019 period at US$16.8 million; US$8.3 million; and US$6.6 million, respectively.
