Abstract


  • Yogyakarta City in February 2020 experienced inflation of 0.40 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.92 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.28 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.21 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.03 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.27 percent; education group by 0.06 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 0.14 percent and personal care and other services group increased by 0.34 percent. Meanwhile, the groups experiencing deflation were the health group by 0.05 percent; transportation group by 0.72 percent. The relatively stable groups were the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel groups.
  • Of the 90 cities whose inflation figures were calculated, 73 CPI cities experienced inflation, 17 CPI cities experienced deflation.
  • The calendar inflation rate (February 2020 to December 2019) was 0.67 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (February 2020 to February 2019) was 3.08 percent.
