Abstract

Yogyakarta City in April 2021 experienced inflation of 0.01 percent due to the increase in the consumer price index for the clothing and footwear group by 0.11 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.11 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.16 percent; health group by 0.03 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.13 percent; recreation, sports and culture groups by 0.71 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.18 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.42 percent. The groups experiencing deflation were the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.22 percent; and the transportation group by 0.29 percent. The relatively stable group is the education group.

In 90 cities with inflation figures calculated, 72 CPI cities experienced inflation and 18 CPI cities experienced deflation.

The calendar inflation rate (April 2021 to December 2020) is 0.77 percent and the year on year inflation rate (April 2021 to April 2020) is 1.68 percent.
