Abstract

  • Yogyakarta City in March 2021 experienced inflation of 0.08 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index for the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.38 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.04 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.21 percent; health group by 0.38 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.11 percent; and the group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 0.07 percent. The groups that experienced deflation were clothing and footwear by 0.05 percent; transportation group by 0.19 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.02 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.32 percent. The relatively stable group is the education group.
  • In 90 cities with inflation figures calculated, 58 CPI cities experienced inflation and 32 CPI cities experienced deflation.
  • The calendar inflation rate (March 2021 to December 2020) is 0.76 percent and the year on year inflation rate (March 2021 to March 2020) is 1.43 percent.
