Export and Import Development of Special Region of Yogyakarta, January 2022

Abstract

The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in January 2022 reached US$ 51.8 million, down 19.19 percent compared to December 2021. Compared to January 2021, the export value increased by 32.82 percent.
The largest January 2022 exports were to the United States at US$24.2 million, followed by Germany at US$4.6 million and Japan at US$3.6 million, with the contribution of the three reaching 62.55 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union and ASEAN amounted to US$13.8 million and US$0.9 million respectively.
The largest increase in exports in January 2022 against December 2021 occurred in plastics and plastic goods amounting to US$1.2 million (200.00 percent). Meanwhile, the largest decrease occurred in non-knitted apparel amounting to US$10.7 million (39.78 percent).
By sector, exports of processing industry products in January 2022 fell 19.41 percent compared to December 2021. Meanwhile, exports of agricultural products increased by 50.00 percent. Compared to January 2021, exports of processing industry products increased by 33.07 percent. Meanwhile, exports of agricultural products are the same value as the same period before.
According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in January 2022 were sent through Central Java with a value of US$32.4 million (62.55 percent), followed by DKI Jakarta US$17.6 million (33.98 percent) and East Java US$1.8 million (3.47 percent).
