Abstract

  • Exports in November 2022 reached US$42.8 million, up 8.63 percent compared to the previous month.
  • Imports in November 2022 were valued at US$12.6 million, up 18.87 percent.
  • The export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in November 2022 reached US$42.8 million, an increase of 8.63 percent compared to October 2022. Compared to November 2021, the export value decreased by 23.30 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the export value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta from January to November 2022 reached US$528.5 million, an increase of 7.01 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
  • The largest November 2022 exports were to the United States at US$16.4 million, followed by Germany at US$4.2 and Japan at US$3.2 million. The contribution of the three reached 55.61 percent. Meanwhile, exports to the European Union amounted to US$11.6 million and ASEAN amounted to US$0.9 million.
  • The largest increase in exports in November 2022 against October 2022 occurred in non-knitted apparel at US$4.5 million. The second largest increase was straw / woven materials amounting to US$0.6 million and the third was furniture, home lighting US$0.5 million.
  • By sector, exports of agricultural products in November 2022 showed the same value compared to October 2022. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products increased by 8.70 percent. Compared to October 2021, exports of agricultural products showed the same value. Meanwhile, exports of processing industry products fell 23.42 percent.
  • According to the province of the port of loading, the largest exports of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in November 2022 were sent through Central Java with a value of US$29.1 million (67.99 percent), followed by DKI Jakarta US$12.3 million (28.74 percent), East Java US$1.0 million (2.34 percent), and D.I. Yogyakarta US$0.4 million (0.93 percent).
  • The import value of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in November 2022 reached US$12.6 million, up 18.87 percent compared to October 2022. Conversely, when compared to November 2021, the value of imports decreased by 16.00 percent. Cumulatively, the import value from January to November 2022 reached US$134.5 million, down 3.58 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
  • The three largest supplier countries of imported goods in November 2022 were China with US$4.9 million, Hong Kong with US$2.1 million and the United States with US$1.6 million. The largest increase in imports from the United States was US$1.3 million and the largest decrease was from South Korea US$0.6 million. The three largest supplier countries of imported goods during January-November 2022 were China at 37.99 percent, Hong Kong 18.51 percent and Taiwan 8.55 percent.
  • The top three import commodity groups in November 2022 were artificial filaments at US$2.8 million; cotton wadding, rope US$1.2 million; and coated woven fabrics US$1.1 million. The largest increase in imports of goods groups in November 2022 compared to October 2022 was artificial staff fibers 250.00 percent. Meanwhile, the largest decrease was cotton 37.50 percent.
  • According to the use of goods, the value of imports in November 2022 against the same period the previous year increased in consumer goods by 50.00 percent. While raw / auxiliary materials fell 17.86 percent and capital goods fell 16.67 percent.
  • The trade balance of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in November 2022 experienced a surplus of US$30.2 million. This value is lower than the same period the previous year which recorded a surplus of US$ 40.8 million.
