Abstract

The rice harvest area in 2021 reached around 107.51 thousand hectares, a decrease of 3,042 hectares or 2.75 percent compared to 2020 which amounted to 110.55 thousand hectares.
Rice production in 2021 is 556.53 thousand tons of MDG, an increase of 33,135 tons of MDG or 6.33 percent compared to 2020 which amounted to 523.39 thousand tons of MDG.
Rice production in 2021 for food consumption of the population reached 316.12 thousand tons, an increase of 18,821 tons or 6.33 percent compared to rice production in 2020 which amounted to 297.30 thousand tons.
