Abstract

April 2022 inflation amounted to 1.14 percent. The largest share that drove inflation was gasoline, which rose by 8.28 percent.

Yogyakarta City in April 2022 experienced inflation of 1.14 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the food group by 1.26 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.55 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.95 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.74 percent; transportation group by 3.24 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.02 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.60 percent; and personal care and other services group by 1.32 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index were: the health group by 0.21 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.11 percent. Meanwhile, the education group was relatively stable.
90 cities that calculated the inflation rate, all experienced inflation.
The calendar inflation rate (April 2022 against December 2021) was 2.57 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (April 2022 against April 2021) was 4.12 percent.
