Abstract

October 2022 inflation amounted to 0.11 percent. The biggest contributor to inflation was the cost of academy/college, which increased by 6.32 percent.
Yogyakarta City in October 2022 experienced inflation of 0.11 percent due to an increase in the consumer price index of the clothing and footwear group by 0.29 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.25 percent; household supplies, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.17 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 0.26 percent; education group by 2.38 percent; food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.54 percent; and personal care and other services group by 0.45 percent. Meanwhile, groups that experienced a decrease in the index were the food group by -0.53 percent; the health group by -0.03 percent; the transportation group by -0.58 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by -0.10 percent.
90 cities calculated inflation figures, 29 cities experienced inflation and 61 cities experienced deflation.
The calendar inflation rate (October 2022 against December 2021) was 5.45 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (October 2022 against October 2021) was 6.67 percent.
