Abstract

  • DIY economy in the first quarter of 2022 grew 2.91 percent (Y-on-Y)
  • DIY Economy in Q1-2022 grew 0.60 Percent (Q-to-Q)
  • The economy of D.I. Yogyakarta based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in the first quarter of 2022 reached Rp39.59 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reached Rp27.63 trillion.
  • The DIY economy in the first quarter of 2022 against the first quarter of 2021 grew by 2.91 percent (y-on-y). The highest growth was achieved by Other Services at 24.30 percent, followed by transportation and warehousing and agriculture, respectively 17.80 percent and 10.82 percent. In terms of expenditure, the export and foreign import components were recorded as the first and second highest growth components, with growth of 18.87 percent and 10.63 percent respectively.
  • Compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, the DIY economy grew 0.60 percent (q-to-q). The business sector that grew the highest was agriculture 30.61 percent, followed by financial services 7.33 percent, mining and quarrying 2.03 percent. In terms of expenditure, the components that contributed the highest growth were net inter-regional exports with a share of 5.38 percent, and inventory changes with a share of 1.73 percent.
  • The structure of the DIY economy in the first quarter of 2022 was dominated by agriculture at 12.37 percent, processing industry at 11.97 percent, and information and communication at 10.44 percent. Meanwhile, from the expenditure side, the largest contribution was recorded in the household consumption component, which was 62.19 percent, followed by the gross fixed capital formation component of 32.13 percent.
