Abstract

March 2022 Gini Ratio recorded at 0.439
In March 2022, the level of inequality in the expenditure of the population of D.I. Yogyakarta as measured using the gini ratio method was 0.439. This figure increased by 0.003 points when compared to the September 2021 gini ratio of 0.436.
The gini ratio in urban areas in March 2022 was recorded at 0.446 and the value was higher than the September 2021 gini ratio of 0.443. However, the gini ratio is still lower than the March 2021 gini ratio of 0.448.
The gini ratio in rural areas in March 2022 reached 0.332. The gini ratio was higher than the September 2021 gini ratio (0.325), but lower than the March 2021 gini ratio (0.334).
Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, in March 2022, the expenditure distribution in the bottom 40 percent was 16.07 percent. When broken down by region, in urban areas the figure was recorded at 15.53. As for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 20.88 percent.
